My Vehicle: A Personal Dashboard for Solo Vehicle Owners

One Vehicle, One Clear Home Base: Meet the New My Vehicle Dashboard

Most vehicle owners do not think of themselves as managing a fleet. They are thinking about one car, one next service, one estimate that needs a decision, or one question they want their repair shop to help answer.

That is why the ARI Client Portal now gives customers with a single vehicle a dashboard designed around that vehicle.

The new My Vehicle dashboard replaces a broad, account-style overview with a calmer and more personal home base. It brings the customer’s vehicle, the most useful next action, active shop recommendations, upcoming care, and service records into one clear flow—without taking away the rest of the portal.

For repair shops, the benefit is simple: when the portal feels immediately relevant, customers have more reason to use it, return to it, and take the next useful step with your business.

A client portal should feel personal from the first screen

A traditional dashboard can be useful for customers with several vehicles. Comparisons, totals, charts, and recent records help them understand activity across an account.

For someone with one vehicle, however, that same information can feel heavier than necessary. They usually want faster answers:

  • Is there anything my shop says I should handle now?
  • Do I have an estimate, payment, or appointment waiting for me?
  • Where can I follow my current visit?
  • What should I plan for next?

My Vehicle is built around those questions. When the portal detects exactly one valid vehicle on a customer’s account, the Dashboard automatically opens the focused experience. There is no setup for the shop and no extra step for the customer.

The result is a portal that feels less like a database and more like a useful companion for one specific vehicle.

The right information, in the right order

My Vehicle does not simply remove dashboard cards. It reorganizes the experience around what is most useful to the owner right now.

Their vehicle takes center stage

The first card is unmistakably about the customer’s vehicle. It can show the year, make, model, plate, shop-recorded mileage, and a care status based on the records available from the shop.

Customers can immediately book service or open the Vehicle Care Passport. The language stays clear and transparent: this is a summary of shop records and recommended care, not a claim that the vehicle has received a mechanical inspection.

That distinction matters. A personalized experience should build trust, not create false certainty.

One clear “Right now” action

Instead of presenting every alert with the same visual weight, My Vehicle identifies the most useful next step and makes it easy to act.

Depending on the customer’s account and vehicle records, that could mean:

  • paying a requested deposit;
  • reviewing an estimate;
  • following an active visit in Service Story;
  • taking care of an account balance;
  • revisiting work that was postponed;
  • booking service for an overdue reminder;
  • checking an upcoming appointment; or
  • reviewing care that is due soon.

Other relevant items remain available as supporting actions, but the customer no longer has to scan an entire analytics dashboard to decide where to begin.

That reduction in friction is important. Every unnecessary choice creates another opportunity to leave without doing anything. A clear next step makes the portal more useful to the customer and more valuable to the shop.

Your recommendations stay visible between visits

One of the biggest opportunities for any repair shop is the time between appointments.

A recommendation may be important when it is discussed at the counter, but weeks later it can be buried in a document, forgotten in a text thread, or disconnected from the customer’s current question about their vehicle.

My Vehicle brings relevant postponed work, reminders, estimates, and appointments back into the customer’s normal portal experience. It gives those records a useful place to live after the visit ends.

This does not pressure customers or approve work on their behalf. It simply keeps the next conversation easy to find. When the customer is ready, booking service or reviewing the record is only a click away.

For the shop, that can mean fewer recommendations disappearing into the background and more natural opportunities for customers to re-engage.

Service Story and Predictive Care become part of the ownership journey

The dashboard also connects two of the portal’s most useful vehicle experiences.

If a matching shop visit is active, My Vehicle can surface its Service Story so the customer can follow the latest information shared by the shop. When a completed visit is the most relevant record, the customer can return to it for a clearer explanation of the work.

For planning beyond the current visit, Predictive Care remains close at hand through the Vehicle Care Passport. Customers can explore what may deserve attention next using their available service history, shop-recorded mileage, and public maintenance context. Forecast generation remains an intentional customer action; simply opening the dashboard does not automatically run it.

Together, these experiences help the portal remain valuable across the full relationship:

  • before a visit, when a customer is deciding what to book;
  • during a visit, when they want clearer progress and context;
  • after a visit, when they want records they can understand; and
  • between visits, when they are planning what comes next.

That continuity is what can turn a portal from a place customers visit only to pay an invoice into a place they return to as part of caring for their vehicle.

Financial records remain available—without taking over the page

Personal does not mean incomplete.

Customers can still reach invoices, payments, inspections, estimates, expenses, and the Cost Estimator. Relevant costs and records remain visible, but they are presented as supporting context rather than the main event.

The dashboard also keeps vehicle facts separate from account-wide facts. For example, an account balance is labelled as an account balance rather than being presented as if it belongs to one specific repair or vehicle.

This makes the experience easier to understand while preserving the depth customers expect from the full ARI Client Portal.

Why a more personal portal can make customers stickier

“Sticky” does not have to mean sending more notifications or adding more promotions. The strongest reason for a customer to return is that the product continues to be useful.

My Vehicle supports that usefulness in several ways:

It reduces the time from login to action

Customers see the most relevant vehicle and account information without sorting through multi-vehicle analytics that do not apply to them.

It gives shop records a lasting home

Estimates, postponed recommendations, reminders, visit updates, and appointments remain connected to the customer’s vehicle instead of becoming isolated messages.

It builds continuity between appointments

Service Story explains the current or recent visit, while the Vehicle Care Passport and Predictive Care help the customer think ahead.

It keeps your shop close to the next decision

When the customer decides to review, pay, book, or ask about future care, the path back to your shop is already part of the experience.

No dashboard can guarantee retention or repeat bookings. But a portal that is clearer, more relevant, and easier to act on gives customers a better reason to keep using it—and to keep the relationship with their shop moving forward.

Automatic for one-vehicle customers, flexible when they want more

My Vehicle appears automatically on the existing Dashboard for customers who have exactly one valid vehicle in their portal account. Customers with multiple vehicles continue to use the full account overview.

Nothing is locked away. A one-vehicle customer can select View account overview whenever they want the traditional dashboard. A clear Return to My Vehicle option lets them switch back at any time.

The preference is saved for that customer and shop, so the portal respects how they prefer to work. If another vehicle is later added to the account, the portal safely returns to the multi-vehicle overview.

The experience is responsive for phones, tablets, and desktops, supports right-to-left layouts, and is available across the portal’s English, Spanish, Arabic, and Hindi language options.

Where customers can find My Vehicle

My Vehicle lives in the same familiar place customers already use:

  1. The customer signs in to your ARI Client Portal.
  2. They open Dashboard.
  3. If their account has exactly one valid vehicle, the personal My Vehicle dashboard appears automatically.
  4. They can use View account overview to open the traditional dashboard whenever they prefer.

There is no separate app, route, or activation process. The portal adapts the first screen to the customer’s account while keeping every familiar feature within reach.

Make every portal visit more useful

Your customers should not have to manage a fleet-style dashboard when they only want to understand their own vehicle.

My Vehicle gives solo-vehicle owners a clearer starting point: their car, their shop’s records, and the next useful action. For shops, it creates a more personal digital experience that keeps service recommendations visible, reduces booking friction, and gives customers more reasons to return.

The next time a customer signs in, the portal will not just show them more data. It will help them understand what matters now—and make it easier to continue the relationship with your shop.
